Information about the use of cookies on ALL websites owned or managed by Imparareonline Ltd.
‘Cookies’ are small packets of data which your browser may save onto your computer or other device when you visit a website.
We’re not experts on this stuff, but we understand that the majority of uses are benign – for example, a site may save a cookie to your computer to show that you are logged in, or that you have visited the site before.
What about other, less benign uses?
Well, have you ever noticed those adverts that seem to follow you around the Internet? Those are triggered by cookies on your computer…
You visited site A and looked at, say a pair of shoes.
Then you go off to site B, and surprise, up comes an ad for that very same pair of shoes!
At the moment we don’t do this sort of thing on any of our sites. But some of our sites carry advertisements that may be triggered by cookies you picked up elsewhere.
Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
Find out more about Google’s use of cookies for personalized advertising.
What can you do if you’re worried about this?
There’s no reason to worry when visiting our websites, but every reason to understand the implications of the use of cookies.
A good start would be to learn more about how your favorite browser protects you (or doesn’t…).
It’s possible, for example, to visualise and delete the cookies saved on your computer.
Look out, also, for details of cookie use in a website’s ‘privacy policy’.
Or write to us for more information. The contact email is at the bottom of each page on all of our sites.
For information about the use of cookies on this site, please view the company’s cookie advisory page.
